Position Responsibilities

  • The Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) School of Arts and Education is seeking a versatile Visual Arts Instructor specializing in teaching 3D courses for a fulltime Probationary position starting on August 7, 2024. Continuation in this position is contingent upon favorable evaluations and budget allocations.
  • Applicants with 3 years (15 studio courses) worth of teaching credit will be given preference.
  • Primary duties include teaching first and secondyear 3D Foundation and Sculpture courses, with potential opportunities to teach in areas such as Ceramics, 2D Foundations, Creativity, Professional Practice, 2D Art and Technology.
  • Additional expertise in other studio areas, introductory Art History, or curriculum development will be valued.

  • BFA or equivalent plus relevant experience in a postsecondary context.
