THE OPPORTUNITY


This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Burnaby, BC and requires the ability to work from this location.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contributes to the design and ongoing management of marketbased compensation plans including salary structures, variable pay and sales plans.
  • Ensures all programs and plans meet legal requirements including pay transparency and pay equity requirements in all jurisdictions.
  • Sources, manages and participates in various compensation and benefits surveys.
  • Manages against the Total Rewards philosophy, including building/updating total rewards guidelines/policies and programs that support the business strategy and that enables it to attract and retain high performing employees.
  • Manages the annual salary administration and variable compensation pay process.
  • Maintains job classifications, leveling and title structures.
  • Provides advice to HRBP, Recruiters, Executives and Managers on pay decisions and salary treatment for promotions, transfers, and job evaluations.
  • Designs, recommends, and manages employee recognition programs.
  • Oversees and manages all time off, leaves and disability programs by working with other HR team members, payroll, managers and 3rd party teams as appropriate/needed.
  • Oversees overall administration of the benefit plans, manages the annual benefits renewal process, and recommends cost controls and enhancements
  • Reviews and analyzes competitive benefits data, summarizes analysis results, and prepares recommendations for updates and changes as needed.
  • Manages the communication and plan design of employee benefits and wellness programs including group insurance, EFAP, etc.)
  • Acts as main point of contact with consultants, third party administrators, and other vendors as needed.
  • Oversees the Employer Retirement Savings plan including consultation with consultants on plan changes and administration.
  • Ensures effective administration of all plans and ensures effective integration with all systems (e.g. ADP).
  • Prepare and support any Executive reporting on Total Rewards programs as required. Manages, coaches and develops Total Rewards team members in providing quality and effective work deliverables.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • A bachelor's degree in a field such as Business Administration, Finance, Accounting Human Resources, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing the Total Rewards function with overall 810 years of related experience.
  • CPHR designation preferred.
  • CCP and/or CEBS would be an asset.
  • Hands on experience in the design of total rewards programs and systems in Canada and the US is required.
  • Experience implementing new programs and educating key concepts in Total Rewards within HR and with the business is considered an asset.
  • Expert experience reviewing and analyzing compensation data.
  • Previous benefits and retirement program administration experience is required.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain, influence, listen, instruct, give clear feedback, and ask insightful questions.
  • Must have strong financial & analytical skills with the ability to translate technical analysis into presentations.
  • Experience working cooperatively, effectively and efficiently with senior internal and external collaborators.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing briefing materials and other communications products.
  • Innovative thinking and problem solver.
  • Leadership skills balanced with a handson role.
  • Ability to think strategically, and objectively and experience developing and implementing large scale projects and change initiatives.
