**Job Description****:
The Social Media Coordinator's duties are to coordinate SSMU's social media, respond to inquiries, review and suggest new content, and provide recommendations for social media student engagement.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Research audience preferences and discover current trends;
- Create engaging text, image and video content;
- Design posts to sustain readers' curiosity and create buzz;
- Measure web traffic;
- Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms, ensuring maximum effectiveness;
- Train co-workers to use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way
- Facilitate online conversations on social media and respond to queries;
- Report on online reviews and feedback;
- Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics;
- Oversee social media accounts' layout;
- Suggest new ways to attract funds, like promotions and competitions.
- To undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Communications Manager and/or the Executive Committee.

La coordination des médias sociaux est chargée de coordonner les médias sociaux de l'AÉUM, de répondre aux demandes de renseignements, d'examiner et de suggérer du nouveau contenu et de fournir des recommandations pour l'engagement des membres du corps étudiant dans les médias sociaux.

**RESPONSABILITÉS**:

- Étudier les préférences du public et découvrir les tendances actuelles ;
- Créer du texte, des images et du contenu vidéo engageant ;
- Concevoir des publications pour soutenir la curiosité du lectorat et créer de l'engouement ;
- Mesurer le trafic web ;
- Rester à jour avec les changements dans toutes les plateformes sociales assurant une efficacité maximale
- Former les collègues à utiliser les médias sociaux de manière cohérente et bénéfique
- Faciliter les conversations en ligne sur les médias sociaux et répondre aux questions ;
- Faire rapport sur les avis et les commentaires en ligne ;
- Élaborer un calendrier de publication optimal, en tenant compte du trafic web et des mesures d'engagement de la clientèle ;
- Superviser la mise en page des comptes de médias sociaux ;
- Suggérer de nouvelles façons d'attirer des fonds, comme des promotions et des concours.
- S'acquitter d'autres tâches et responsabilités assignées par la gestion des communications ou le comité exécutif.

**Qualifications**
- Diligence and impartiality in execution of duties;
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment;
- Strong communication skills in English and French;
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail;
- Knowledge of social media and marketing contents;
- Available on-call and on weekends, or as required;
- Knowledge of the SSMU's Internal Regulations, Constitution, Policies, Plans and Committee Terms of Reference.- Diligence et impartialité dans l'exécution des tâches ;

**Additional Information**
- Paid position**:$15.75 **per hour;
