The opportunity


The primary focus of the role is to provide program development, leadership and direction of sales strategies and activities for sales leaders and specific roles as identified.

Included in this focus, this role will contribute to developing and executing a full sales strategy plan and business development activities along side the leader against the Bank's objectives and business plan.

Collaborating with the regional teams, develop, implement, and measure programs that promote client retention, growth, and attraction. This role reports to the Sr AVP, Sales Effectiveness

Areas of focus

  • Strategic Initiatives
  • Support the effort to develop and implement a program that will help the banking centre network create market specific business plans, based upon Market Insights, client segments, market opportunities and client experience, weaving in the company value proposition. This work will be completed in partnership with several departments and the end users.
  • Working with senior sales leaders and key departments, develop and implement an activitybased sales programs supported by specific training and plans on how to sustain. Develop plans, and be accountable for the Banking Centre network delivering balanced deposit growth targets, including Wealth referrals from business owners including nonpersonal and personal, their families, and employees.
  • Client Experience & Employee Engagement
  • Partner with the business to executive on activities and supports to deliver on
    CWBx. Develop and implement initiatives that support banking center leaders to achieve excellence in sales performance, and align with risk and compliance requirements. Codesign and execute standardized training programs that deliver consistent and repeatable advice giving and relationship management practices.
  • Provide high impact and value add solutions that make complex programing simple for the end user to understand and utilize. This includes, but is not limited to, resources, tools, and reporting to help sales leaders execute strategy and monitor progress with well defined targets and supportive accountability framework
  • Communication & Collaboration
  • Assist in the development and delivery of ongoing
    CWB training and development programs for staff across the Bank. Accepting responsibility and accountability for actions and results.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills that contribute to working effectively in a diverse working environment. Inspire trust by being open, honest and direct in communication, meeting commitments, and behaving ethically in all dealings.
Who we're looking for & what you've done

Professional Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. with a highly successful sales leadership background or equivalent work experience.
  • Background in facilitation and public speaking.
Professional Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of increasing senior responsibility in Commercial Banking, including developing sales and marketing plans, client experience measurement, and developing business and activity management plans.
  • Strong background in performance sales measurement and metrics.
  • Track record of building inclusive, highperforming, and accountable teams and work environments.
  • Demonstrated ability and ease delivering content to Corporate Office, Regional Office, and Banking Centre level environments.

  • Strong and solid business acumen and understanding of sales leadership, management, and sales activities practices.
