The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) is seeking a Web Campaign Specialist to support internal clients in annual giving, corporate, and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Campaigns, the successful individual will be responsible for building digital fundraising web properties, gathering business requirements, project coordination, and stakeholder research.

Additionally, the individual will assist with developing engagement strategies to drive online recruitment, registration, and fundraising activation. This role with play an integral part in optimizing the online user experience for our website visitors and donors.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Manage setup of online fundraising and online forms for Canadian Cancer society programs with a focus on providing best in class experiences to our donors, participants, and volunteers:

  • Focus on the successful creation of innovative digital peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns.
  • Build digital fundraising websites, online forms and ticketed events.
  • Manage overall delivery of digital projects within your portfolio: including project timelines, schedules, coordination with internal and external teams, etc.
  • Support digital fundraising activities through entire project cycle: strategy, planning, user journey, execution, and analysis.
  • Collect business requirements for new and returning fundraising projects.
  • Respond to escalations and technical troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical support for campaigns that are in market.
  • Work closely with UX, Design, Development and Analytics team members to ensure solutions meet best practices.
  • Support testing and quality assurance for all digital fundraising websites and online forms.
  • Work with team to ensure all online fundraising websites and forms meet or exceed WCAG 2.0 compliance for accessibility.
  • Support the team to ensure all online fundraising websites and forms are optimized for search engines.
  • Work closely with Data, Analytics and Solutions team to ensure the data from all fundraising websites and forms flows into the CRM.

User experience and insights:

  • Champion a usercentric approach to all online website user journeys.
  • Work with internal teams and vendors to identify innovative ways to acquire, retain, and activate donors and participants through our digital channels.
  • Work with team members to recommend innovative approaches and solutions to meet those business needs.
  • Explore different tools with objective of finding new ways to engage donors and provide a better online experience to increase fundraising.
  • Stays current on best practices and trends in the digital sector, bringing forward opportunities to optimize current digital fundraising activities, and provides support on special projects and new digital initiatives.

Analytics and compliance:

  • Work with team members on areas for improvement against established benchmarks and KPIs.
  • Establish templates and guidelines for providing online fundraising support to increase productivity and deliver on time and on budget.
  • Collaborate with members of the Digital team to improve existing digital processes and implement new ones to increase efficiencies and improve quality of service.
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, and complies with the Society's Health & Safety Policy.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards of CRA, CMA, PIPEDA, CCS, CASL

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have: 2 years+ of handson experience with online fundraising platforms, content management systems & database management; experience with Blackbaud
