As a representative of our small chicken farm, you will be responsible for expanding our market presence by identifying and securing new sales opportunities, particularly in convenience stores and other retail outlets, farmers markets, restaurants and online.


Responsibilities:

Market Research:
Identify potential markets and sales channels for our farm-fresh eggs.
Conduct market research to understand local demand and competition.

Sales Outreach:
Actively seek out and approach convenience stores, local markets, and potential retail partners.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with store owners and managers.

Product Presentation:
Clearly communicate the quality and benefits of our eggs to potential buyers.
Provide product samples if needed and information to interested retailers.

Order Management:
Receive and process sales orders from retail partners.
Coordinate with the farm for timely delivery of products.

Sales Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and report regularly to farm management.
Provide feedback on market trends and customer preferences.

Transportation:
Use personal vehicle to transport and deliver products to retail locations.
Ensure products are delivered in a timely and pristine condition.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in sales or a customer-facing role preferred.
Familiarity with the local market and retail landscape.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Enthusiasm for local agriculture and sustainable farming practices preferred but not nessesary.

Working Conditions:
Part-time position with flexible working hours.
Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
Some physical activity required for transportation and product handling.

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate plus commission based on sales performance.
