Overview


Do you have excellent office administration and organization skills that allow you to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and timeliness? We have an opportunity in a role that performs diverse administrative support duties reporting to a manager in our Investigations department.

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a
hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.


In this role, you'll work primarily from home but will be required to come into the Richmond office once a week and on an as needed basis.

What you'll do

  • Receive, screen, and refer incoming telephone calls to appropriate staff; provide general information to callers where applicable and answer routine inquiries
  • Greet and direct external and internal visitors
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail and correspondence; respond to routine inquiries and correspondence within established guidelines
  • Maintain a variety of paper and digital files and records
  • Maintain office supplies and stationery

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain a high level of customer service
  • This position requires regular and punctual attendance

Your background and experience

  • Completion of Grade 1
  • Recently related experience providing administrative support
  • Use Microsoft Word proficiently
  • Type a minimum of 60 words per minute
  • Excellent English language skills, with accurate grammar and spelling
