JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Maintain financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems (QuickBooks Online).
  • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, and maintain general ledgers.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents appropriately.
  • Calculate and prepare checks for accounts payable, utilities, taxes, and other bills.
  • Prepare various statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence, filing reports, and advising management on necessary actions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or Desktop version.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining financial records.
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in English and French (an asset).
