Position Overview

As Manager, Fleet Maintenance, you will oversee all aspects of maintenance operations for light and heavy fleet vehicles, including passenger cars, fire trucks, and snow clearing equipment for runways to support a busy 24/7 operation. You will lead maintenance staff and contractors to ensure operational needs are met, considering the impact on customers, stakeholders, employee well-being, labor relations, and resource access.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Crew Management Strategy to coordinate all fleet maintenance work.
  • Hire, train, and lead employees, fostering a respectful workplace environment; address staff matters and take disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Create a fleet replacement plan and optimize fleet deployment using a data-driven approach.
  • Provide input on Standard Operating Procedures, performance metrics, technical instructions, and compliance records.
  • Identify and resolve issues through investigations and specialized studies.
  • Collaborate with technical resources to drive continuous improvement and explore new technologies.
  • Build relationships with service providers and suppliers.
  • Monitor and enhance fleet service delivery with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ensure digital integration with maintenance management system.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the team.
  • Participate in special projects supporting asset maintenance.
Key Qualifications:

Seeking someone with five years' experience in airport or commercial fleet environments, along with relevant certification or degree in Applied Science, Science, or Engineering. Proficiency in incident and operations management, decision-making, and field reviews.

We are looking for a dedicated individual to manage our diverse fleet of vehicles, including specialized heavy equipment. This role involves leading a team to ensure optimal performance in a dynamic 24/7 airport environment.

This opportunity is open to both internal and external candidates. Previous performance will be considered for internal applicants. Short-listed candidates may undergo a leadership assessment.

Salary Range:

$100,640 to $144,670 annually based on a 37.5-hour work week. Includes a performance-based incentive of up to 15% of annual salary.
