Jump Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Clerk to join the team at O'Neill Auto Group in Mount Pearl, NL.

Accompanied by brands like Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, Infiniti, and Acura, the O'Neill Auto Group, a family-owned and operated business is also Newfoundland and Labrador's largest luxury vehicle retailer.

The Senior Accounting Clerk will report to the Assistant Controller and will be a key member of the accounting team.

This person will be a detail-oriented professional who is a team player who will contribute to the success of our finance department.

Automotive finance experience would be considered an asset. Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data
Conduct financial audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations
Bank reconciliations
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff
Monthly reconciliations and review of schedules
Assist in preparing year-end audit working papers
Assist with other accounting functions and duties as needed or on a required basis
Assists with the training of new as well as current staff
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Minimum 5 years' work experience in a senior accounting role
Automotive experience especially familiarity with CDK or similar would be an asset
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures
Strong computer skills including Excel
Demonstrated skill in strategic financial and operational management and long-term planning
