The Positron Emission Tomography Methodology Program lead by Dr.

Pablo Rusjan, Douglas Research Centre and McGill University, is looking for a research assistant who will assist in several multi-year research projects.

These projects will study the brain molecular basis of psychiatric diseases using neuroimaging techniques.

The research assistant will be working closely with Dr Rusjan in the acquisition and management of the data for the program.


Tasks:

  • Database administration, development, entry and quality assurance of data
  • Development of new tools to automate the administering, scoring and entry in the database of clinical assessments and other forms.
  • Administration of longterm data storage and data curation
  • Wet lab experience, including blood processing (centrifuging, pipetting, HPLC, etc)
  • Problemsolving for issues with the data processing and analytic tools
  • Administrative task for research programs
  • HTML developing knowledge

Required:

  • Bachelor's or master's in biochemistry, medical physics or related fields
  • Database experience: Microsoft Access or MySQL
  • Wet lab experience
  • Strong communication skills in English and French
  • Be rigorous, structured, organized, and detailoriented and to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment


Have a strong ability to work in a team, have a sense of initiative, good flexibility and capacity to adapt to change.

Schedule:
35 hours a week

Salary:
$15.48-$29.08 per hour
