What you'll be responsible for

  • Plan, organize and conduct meetings to support category merchandising line reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for space optimization, risks, challenges, and ways to enhance overall productivity.
  • Project manage planogram builds for line reviews, ensuring accuracy and quality checks.
  • Make space recommendation changes to proto floorplans when necessary.
  • Demonstrate understanding of category merchandising strategies by conducting research and leveraging competitive landscape insights.
  • Organize store testing and category management support areas efficiently.
  • Create effective store execution communications.
  • Prepare materials for meetings and participate in facilitation as required.
  • Collaborate with stores to resolve inquiries promptly and professionally.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in merchandising and visual presentation in retail, marketing, or advertising.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and communicate effectively across the organization.
  • Capable of physically assembling floor fixtures.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with space management software like Spaceman or JDA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Tire's merchandising practices and principles preferred.
