Our Edmonton government client is on the lookout for a skilled GIS Spatial Analyst to join their team on an initial 12-month contract.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in GIS, geospatial data analysis, and the implementation and configuration of GIS software.

If you have a background in software development with languages such as C#, .NET, or Python, you could be the perfect fit to help our client innovate and enhance geolocation and routing solutions.

Engage with the latest tools and technologies in the GIS field, including ESRI and ArcGIS, enhancing your skills and expertise.

  • Handle the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of GIS Spatial application software, particularly ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Create, maintain, and update map data within GIS systems to ensure accuracy and relevance of geospatial information.
  • Apply strong knowledge of SQL and experience with Microsoft SQL Server to manage and manipulate geospatial databases effectively.
  • Develop and maintain software using programming languages such as C#, .NET, and Python, enhancing functionality and user experience.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, providing reliable support and troubleshooting to ensure system stability and user satisfaction.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in GIS, geospatial data handling, and software implementation.
  • Degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong focus on GIS technology.
  • knowledgeable in installation and configuration of GIS software.
  • Experienced in software development with languages such as C#, .NET, Python, and familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex data sets and perform detailed geospatial analysis.
