  • Education:
  • Undergraduate university degree from an accredited, recognized university (preferably from Western University)

Experience:

  • 2 years of public relations or communications experience
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on presentations to external contacts
  • Ability to multitask and maintain an organized and effective personal work environment
  • Ability to efficiently handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines by setting effective priorities
  • Demonstrated public speaking experience to large and diverse groups
  • Ability to establish rapport with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work within a flexible schedule to accommodate the University's events and activities
  • Positive, outgoing attitude with a genuine customer service orientation
  • Selfdriven, independent thinker who is highly motivated and possesses an intrinsic passion for quality
  • Ability to remain highly motivated, resilient, innovative, and collaborative when faced with challenges
  • A strong record of teamwork with the motivation and ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • Detailed knowledge of the university environment and structure and the ability to liaise and work effectively in a team environment and with members of the campus community at all levels
  • A working knowledge of postsecondary programs throughout Canada is an asset
