Claims Analyst

Position Purpose:
This position adjudicates all Customer Disputes or Claims in accordance with IPG business guidelines and respective Policies and Procedures.
Principle Accountabilities
- Validate and process customer claims such as returns, shortages, pricing discrepancies in a timely manner
- Analyze and review claims file portfolios and communicate root causes and potential solutions
- Proactively communicate claims status and other key data information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with internal departments as needed, including Sales and Product Marketing and warehouse, to validate and/or resolve questions or issues on customer's A/R
- Identify procedural noncompliance on claims approvals; escalates process gaps to management
- Participate in Claims process improvement projects.
- Responsible for productivity levels and quality levels as assigned by management.
- Perform collection tasks on delinquent client accounts as warranted.
- Support the task of Order release as warranted.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask without loss of efficiency or accuracy
- Conduct other duties and small projects as assigned by management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction
- Strong analytical, problemsolving skills, and excellent math aptitude
- Ensures policy and procedures are being enforced regarding approval levels and corresponding reason codes
Essential Skills and Experience
- University degree and/or equivalent in 3 to 5 years of related work experienced in Claims or Customer Services or Accounting
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Results oriented and strong problemsolving skills
- Solid organizational skills
- Intermediate to advance skills with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of JD is an asset
