Pathways to Education Canada is in search of an innovative and dynamic Marketing and Communications Director to join our team.

As the Director, you will lead a skilled team in crafting and executing cutting-edge marketing and communications approaches to enhance our brand, engage stakeholders, and garner support for our initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Optimize website and digital marketing performance by monitoring website traffic, user behavior, and campaign outcomes. Utilize insights to refine digital marketing strategies for enhanced returns.
  • Supervise the planning and implementation of a social media strategy to amplify Pathways' presence and interaction on social platforms, ensuring captivating content to cultivate a devoted following and steer traffic to Pathways' site.
  • Maintain relationships with media channels, handle media queries, and orchestrate press releases and media presence.
  • Elevate Pathways' representatives as sought-after authorities for commentary and interviews.
  • Develop a digital marketing scheme, supervise digital marketing ventures encompassing website management, social media, email campaigns, and online advertisements.
  • Manage and enhance Pathways' brand image, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
  • Forge and enhance crucial brand messages resonating with stakeholders, including donors, partners, students, and the public. Guarantee uniform messaging across all communication channels.
  • Create and execute strategic marketing and communication schemes aligned with Pathways' mission and goals.
  • Lead internal communication for the National Office staff. Collaborate with Program teams to supervise communication plans to all Pathways Program Partners.
  • Communicate the strategy to the executive team and oversee its implementation.
  • Handle marketing and communication regulations and policies.
  • Monitor and measure progress against the strategy.
  • Offer performance feedback to each team member by conducting regular informal feedback sessions and formal performance evaluations.
  • Coach each team member by formulating and overseeing progress on agreed development plans.
Qualifications
  • Hold a degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Bring forth over 8 years of Marketing and Communications experience at a Director level.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in crafting, executing, and assessing successful marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, branding, and communication strategies.
  • Possess experience in managing and evaluating external agencies.
  • Strong execution skills to boost marketing returns.
  • Exhibit business acumen involving operational plans and budget management.
  • Capable of overseeing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Display strong leadership capabilities with the aptitude to motivate and influence others.
  • Ability to think strategically on both organizational and operational levels.
  • Adaptable and willing to drive change.
  • Preferably have experience in the non-profit or education sectors.
  • Passionate about driving impact.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is advantageous.
