As a member of the Finance and Accounting Team, your main focus will be to support the Operations, Receivables, and Payables teams within the Greater Montréal Area. You will be responsible for handling internal monthly financial statements and conducting related analysis to discover ways to enhance overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate preparation of property financial reports, variance analysis, NOI analysis, and account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Reviewing day-to-day transactions as part of a complete accounting cycle to ensure accuracy and completeness of all accounting entries at period ends.
  • Generating high-quality financial analysis promptly to provide essential insights for business decisions to the Operations and Management team.
  • Developing financial models and tools to assess property performance, including expense and revenue analysis.
  • Identifying opportunities for enhancement and suggesting solutions to refine reporting, processes, and financial models.
  • Collaborating with various teams and Management to comprehend reporting and analysis requirements and meet them effectively.
  • Contributing to the timely creation of a well-supported annual budget.
  • Strengthening internal controls and ensuring compliance with financial operation policies.
  • Performing other job-related duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of business experience in real estate accounting.
  • Familiarity with Yardi systems is advantageous.
  • CPA designation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft programs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
