The strategic human resources team at the ministry of health is responsible for talent management and workforce planning.

The workforce planning team works with complex data to analyze trends and relationships regarding staffing needs in order to support the ministry reach its strategic goals.


The Human Resources (HR) Analyst performs research, analysis, and reporting functions in support of a best practice approach to strategic workforce planning and organizational development activities provided to the ministry of health.


Job Requirements:

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in human resources, public or business administration, statistics, or a related field, and one [1] year of related experience*;
    OR:
  • Secondary school graduation and three [3] years of related experience*;
    OR:
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related experience must include all of the following:

  • Experience conducting data extraction, and analyzing quantitative data
  • Experience presenting data, verbally and in writing, including the use of data visualization
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to clean and analyze data, including the use and creation of formulas

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience working with HR data
  • Experience working with Power BI or similar analytical tools
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems, or with large enterprise resource planning tools such as PeopleSoft
  • Experience analyzing and producing reports with qualitative data
  • Completion of a postsecondary degree or diploma in HR
