The Office of the Chief Forester is responsible for the provincial forest analysis and inventory, tree improvement and forest genetics programs, forest management, forest health, natural resource research and science, innovation, bioeconomy and climate change for the Ministry of Forests.

This position manages the division's operations and supports the development of the service plan, issues management, project management, and the management of communications and finances.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in a senior administrative role with the relevant experiences listed below.
  • Experience managing diverse, constantly evolving workloads proactively, effectively, independently and under pressure. Preference may be given to applicants with at least two years in this experience.
  • Experience dealing with highly confidential and sensitive issues in the workplace. Preference may be given to applicants with at least two years in this experience.
  • Experience working with budgets, forecasting, procurement, and contract management. Preference may be given to applicants with at least two years in this experience.
  • Experience providing advice to staff on operational and/or HR matters. Preference may be given to applicants with at least two years in this experience.
