Position:
Bilingual Human Resource Generalist

  • We collaborate with public, private, and non-governmental organizations to enhance the well-being and safety of Canadian residents.
  • Reporting to the Culture and Employee Experience Manager (CEEM), the Bilingual HR Generalist will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work culture for CCSA's diverse workforce.
  • This role works closely with various teams to ensure seamless support for their initiatives and projects.
  • Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of HR programs and processes, as well as HRIS.
  • Supporting the Employee Experience and HRIS Specialist in recruitment and onboarding activities.

The ideal candidate will showcase adaptability across a broad spectrum of HR functions.

Possessing experience in multiple provincial and territorial jurisdictions or a strong ability to research compliance standards for these areas is a plus.

CCSA HR is in the process of rebranding and has updated job titles with a focus on employee-centric solutions.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, offering guidance on HR policies and benefits.
  • Support employee engagement efforts, including surveys, events, and recognition programs.
  • Analyze employee feedback and engagement data to spot trends and areas for enhancement.

Pan-Canadian Compliance and Policy Implementation:

  • Stay informed about employment laws to ensure CCSA complies with provincial and federal regulations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies to promote a positive work culture.
  • Support the implementation of the Official Languages Act within CCSA.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and create programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Collaborate on staff development opportunities and training plans.
  • Conduct training sessions on various topics as identified.

Support succession planning activities.

Performance Management:

  • Assist leaders in setting goals, conducting reviews, and implementing improvement plans.
  • Provide training on performance management best practices.

Recruitment and Selection Process:

  • Manage job profiles and screening activities.
  • Participate in interviews and support recruitment initiatives.
  • Ensure a smooth recruitment experience for candidates.

Collect feedback for continuous improvement.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate employee records and databases.
  • Handle employee changes and ensure policy compliance.
  • Implement data management processes effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience with HRIS; ADP-Workforce Now preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills in both official languages.
