As the Inventor Relations Manager, you will support department leadership in developing and executing inventor relations strategy.

The inventor relations manager is also responsible for the daily management of internal intellectual property initiatives and managing Inventor/Partner relationships.


What you will do:

  • Research, and analyze trends in consumer products, toys, fashion, technology, social media, influencers, to innovate BlueJ IPs
  • Prepare competitive analysis of past and current product launches, and have a pulse on the market landscape of toys and games to identify whitespace opportunities
  • Design Google Slides presentations to communicate product opportunities with research and competitive analysis to develop price points, line architecture, positioning, strategy, and financial objectives of BlueJ IPs
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Brand portfolio at Jazwares, key t.v. drivers, price points, play patterns, and innovation needs
  • Liaise with the Inventor Community to communicate innovation opportunities, scout & review product concepts for BlueJ, and interface with internal and external stakeholders to convey results.
  • Manage and execute BlueJ events, and BlueJ initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 + years of experience in marketing, branding, product development
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop productive and professional relationships
  • Strong verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & G-Suite
  • Proficient in adobe creative suite
  • Able to work cross functionally and reciprocally with multiple departments
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively
  • Self-Motivated
  • Basic understanding of legal process, inventor contracts, patents, and milestones in the inventor concept management process
  • Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Can easily adapt to shifting priorities, and can manage multiple priorities at one time, while also demonstrating vigilance in keeping projects moving forward and hitting deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of legal process, inventor contracts, patents, and milestones in the inventor concept management process
  • Effective problem solver and critical thinker; proactive in resolving issues
  • Ability to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional manner
  • Exhibit interest and proactively gains knowledge of the current trends/innovations as well as an understanding the competitive marketplace
  • Knowledge of working with licensed brands
  • A passion for innovation and an analytical mindset
  • Ability to identify trends and translate into concepts
  • Ability to communicate and deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional manner
