Junior Estimator/Project Manager

We are recruiting for a Junior Project Manager/Estimator to join our Controls team the Burnaby office. Coordinate aspects of the construction process, including RFI's, procurement, scheduling, commissioning, O&M manuals
Coordinate project communications with internal and external stakeholders
With support from management, develop project schedules, review contracts, estimate changes, purchase materials and equipment and manage the project financial performance
Develop / assemble start-up submittals and other project documentation
You may also engage with contractors, engineers, architects and vendors
Work with foreman and site superintendents to review the project documents and discuss labour requirements and staffing
Work with the Safety Manager, on-site team to ensure safety on site is our #1 priority
1+ years of previous project manager or estimating experience in a related industry. Will also consider those with project coordinating experience
~ Ideally 2 years of Building Automation Controls commercial solution/services industry experience
~ Basic understanding of contract law, project management and estimating
~ Proficient in MS Office. Experience with AutoCAD, Accubid, MS Project, are an asset
~ Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree an asset
~ Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with other people
