OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION


Napier Outdoors is searching for an ambitious, sociable, and strategic-minded individual to join our growing team as Growth Category Strategist.

As the Growth Category Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and pursing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand our presence and market share.

You will cultivate relationships with our existing B2B clients, collaborating closely on developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies aimed at fostering growth.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the consumer product world within the outdoor and automotive industries.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

New Business Development
-
Lead Generation: Proactively identify and target new B2B sales opportunities through research, networking, and outreach to increase market penetration.

Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market development to identify opportunities for growth

Campaigns:Develop cross-promotional campaigns with associated companies.

Category Growth:Recruit new retailers to distribute products within the category. Prepare PPL's, RFQ's, client proposals, presentations, and other documentation. Negotiate terms and agreements. Launch products within the new retail channel.

Reporting:Create analytical reports such as product trending, channel penetration, market trends, competitor analysis etc.

Current Client Expansion
-
Category Optimization: Develop and execute sales & marketing strategies to support growth within the client's selling channels. Cultivate relationships and provide exceptional support to B2B clients and marketing partners such as Best Buy, Costco, Walmart etc.

Retail Marketing:Develop client specific in-store marketing and merchandising programs to increase the sell-through rate. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop persuasive POP material that converts.

eCommerce Marketing Strategies: Optimize Napier's brand exposure through the client's digital marketing initiatives such as eblasts, social media exposure, PPC advertisements etc.

Promotions: Develop client specific promotional calendars and negotiate price discounts and exposure.

Product Listings & Launches:Ensure clients represent the brand and products correctly by conducting website audits. Work with retailers to update product content. Assist in the development and implementation of new product launches.

Please note that this position is office-based, with mínimal travel requirements.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Previous experience in sales or marketing, preferably in consumer goods
  • Proven track record in driving market growth
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill, with the ability to articulate value propositions.
  • Selfmotivated, resultsoriented, and able to thrive in a fastpast, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business or marketing.
