Job Summary:


You are a Project Coordinator with 6-8 years of experience supporting contracts for large telecommunications providers in the Ontario market.

As the Project Coordinator, you will successfully provide technical and/or management support, with mínimal direction or guidance.

You will also assist operations staff with implementing project and divisional management plans so that projects are completed on time and within budget.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update job log and identify and follow up on any missing items within the life cycle of the project (e.g., permits, locates etc.)
  • Utilize the Ontario One call system for locate submission, locate tracking and communicating to utilities providers as required.
  • Checks that any work being issued to a field foreman and subcontractors have valid permits, locates, and other required information, and ensures required job packages are ready for construction
  • Collect field information, update data tracking system, interpret field data into daily and weekly production reports.
  • Read and understand construction drawing, complete construction as built, prepare turnover packages for project delivery.
  • Conducts weekly update calls and face to face meetings with management and client;
  • In case of escalation, confirmed, record and addressed customer complaints.
  • Works closely with the project manager to set up project budgets, maintain and update project schedules, process change order and billing once project milestones are completed.

Qualifications:

  • 68 years of experience working to support a major Telecommunications contract or similar experience.
  • Proven history and experience in an underground utility coordinator position or construction industry experience
  • Familiarity with protocol and practices of large telecommunications providers in the Ontario market an asset
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced user of Excel), and or other project tracking programs
  • Effective communication skills and displayed confidence in interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic formats
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to address a broad range of activities
  • Ability to learn quickly, analyze information, and problem solve based on clearly defined procedures
