It's that time of year again—LunarFest is returning, and so is our School Outreach program

Every year, LunarFest brings arts and culture to classrooms across Vancouver. Through craft workshops and storytelling, we learn about the diverse cultures that make up our wonderful community.


Inspired by the Year of the Dragon, with the theme Born to Be Free, we are encouraging everyone to reach into the skies and the waters for a world where everyone can live their truest selves.

If you like sharing stories, being creative, and dragons, volunteer to be a LunarFest Workshop Leader today

Activity Leader Volunteers will introduce, lead, and assist students in one-hour workshop activities during the month of January.

A mix of virtual and in-person workshops will be available for students, therefore volunteer positions may be remote or in-person; training will be provided.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead 6 workshop sessions per week starting Jan 22th
  • Feb 08th
  • Learn about LunarFest programs and the activity lesson plans in advance
  • Attend the mandatory orientation and training

Required Qualifications:

  • Lead elementary school classes in virtual craft workshops
  • Carry out storytelling elements of the workshops
  • Interact with the students and teachers throughout workshop session
  • Share about LunarFest activities beyond the workshop
