The Job

As the Leasing Coordinator, you play a vital role in the Commercial Operations team. Your responsibilities revolve around leasing for a portfolio of clients, new and existing, where you will:

  • Provide assistance to the VP of Operations, Leasing Manager, Property Managers, and Property Administrators.
  • Assess Offers to Lease (OTL), suggest pertinent adjustments, and modify the OTLs accordingly.
  • Create and finalize lease documents, including agreements, abstracts, and Net Effective Rent (NER).
  • Participate in lease approval procedures, encompassing negotiations and counteroffers.
  • Prepare lease extensions, amend lease contracts, and draft Vacancy Possession letters.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with negotiations and agreed rates.
  • Conduct market research on leasing rates and offer suitable recommendations.
  • Generate invoices related to leasing/renewal fees.
  • Update sections of management reports and leasing-related budgets.
  • Produce reports on occupancy and vacancies across the property portfolio.
  • Handle internal and external communications and queries concerning leasing.
  • Evaluate leasing and property administration processes and propose enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What you bring to the job

You are diligent and proactive, with a drive to advance in your profession. You have a thirst for knowledge and improving efficiencies while aiming for collective success. Additionally, you have:

  • A university degree or college diploma in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial leasing and operations.
  • Experience in drafting leases and lease abstracts, as well as negotiating leases.
  • Experience managing 30-50 properties concurrently, each with multiple leases and tenants.
  • Strong skills in time management, organization, and precision.
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret clauses effectively.
  • Proficiency in using Yardi and advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Capability to work both collaboratively and independently.
