Job Rate (Experienced hire):$130,450

Max Rate (Maximum salary potential, achieved by progressing through this band):$150,550

Reporting directly to the Program Director, Cardiac Health Program with accountability to the Program Chief & Medical Director, Cardiac Health Program, the Clinical Manager for Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, Cardiovascular Operating Room and Cardiac Perfusion at Mississauga Hospital is an integral member of the Program's leadership team.


Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and effectively manage resources (e.g. financial, human, physical space, equipment and materials) in alignment with the Hospital's strategic plan
  • Oversee the quality of care delivered by the team in collaboration with the Clinical Educator; Physician Leads at Mississauga Hospital; Travel between all 3 sites may be required
  • Reviews Regional program volumes and forecasting in a regular basis, communicates effectively and collaboratively with regional partners, internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee the effective management of patient flow for cardiac patients
  • Recognize, assess and mitigate risks related to patient care and patient and staff/physician safety
  • Manage all aspects of employee relations including: human resource planning; recruitment, performance management; coaching/mentoring and professional development
  • Actively support the development of the Cardiac Health Program through participation in work internal and external to THP

Qualifications:

  • Regulated Health Professional in Ontario; Nursing background preferred
  • Baccalaureate degree
  • Master's degree preferred (e.g. Health Administration, Leadership, Quality)
  • Minimum five years of relevant leadership experience in clinical operations, preferably in a critical care cardiac care environment
  • Excellent performance and attendance record required
  • Excellent oral, written and nonverbal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex and fastpaced environment
  • Proven success in managing changing and transforming workplace culture
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
