As the Adjudicative Services Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to support the operations of OMAFRA's Adjudicative Agencies (Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Appeal Tribunal/Board
- "Tribunal/Board" and Normal Farm Practices Protection Board


You will be a critical resource and support for the Adjudicative Services team and will have the opportunity to work under a supportive leadership team.

What can I expect to do in this role?: In this role you will:

  • Coordinate day-to-day Tribunal/Board operations and support pre and post-hearing activities
  • Manage and coordinate correspondence and media relations
  • Represent the ministry on committees
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide clarification on process, procedures and advice

How do I qualify?:

Coordination and Organization Skills:

  • You have demonstrated planning coordination skills to arrange and oversee Tribunal/Board hearings and operations
  • You have demonstrated prioritization and organization skills to manage your workload effectively and respond to shifting demands

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • You have interpersonal and communication skills to provide direction and advice to the Chair, Tribunal/Board members, parties and counsel
  • You have demonstrated facilitation and relationship building skills to deal with media, consultants, the public and other stakeholders
  • You can exercise tact and diplomacy when dealing with competing interests from different parties
  • You have welldeveloped writing skills to prepare and edit written materials and communications products
  • You have demonstrated oral communication skills to effective tailor information to the appropriate audience
  • You can use various computer programs to prepare correspondence, decisions, presentations and other written materials

Legal Knowledge and Experience:

  • You have an understanding of the Tribunal/Board's role, the agencies and how they work with government
  • You have experience working with policies, procedures, statutes and regulations

Analytical and Administrative Skills:

  • You have research and analytical skills to resolve issues and problems
  • You have experience working with administrative policies and procedures to track and monitor expenses
