Job DescriptionArcadis is in search of a skilled Project Director to join our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA) team in Canada. In this role, you will take charge of project delivery to ensure alignment with time, quality, budget, and safety objectives. You will oversee all facets of client relationships to guarantee that deliverables meet or exceed client expectations. As a leader within the project team, you will provide guidance, technical expertise, and set a positive example while fostering both regional and global business cultures.
Role Accountabilities:- Provide effective leadership to the team, offering guidance, technical advice, and promoting a culture of quality
- Communicate with team members to ensure understanding of project strategy and client requirements
- Develop and manage the Project Programme, securing buy-in from all stakeholders
- Implement financial and project management controls to enable monitoring and forecasting
- Enhance productivity through process improvements and system enhancements
- Oversee project's commercial aspects such as contracts, invoicing, and client management
- Engage effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed on project progress
- Optimize resource allocation and manage suppliers, sub-consultants, and contractors
- Drive project performance and ensure client satisfaction exceeds expectations
- Review engineering work for technical compliance and risk management
- Champion client care and focus on maximizing client satisfaction
- Evaluate team performance, mentor team members, and support their development
- Engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Bachelor's University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- 15+ years of Project Management experience with a focus on Transportation Engineering
- P.Eng. (Eligible for Membership with PEO) preferred
- Experience with MTO
- Postgraduate qualifications in business, finance, or project management an advantage
- Experience in leading design in a consultant organization and tendered design services environment
- Strong commercial background and ability to take commercial responsibility for projects
- Experience in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
