PositionAnalyst, Private EquityLocationEdmonton, AlbertaYour OpportunityThe successful candidate will support the preparation of new investment opportunities, conduct industry research on business and market fundamentals, develop investment models and financial analysis, and conduct due diligence on potential transactions and ongoing investments.

Your ability to stay informed on fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments relevant to KV Capital and its investments, and to critically assess market conditions and trends will be critical in this role.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, collaborative, hard-working and have the desire to help KV Capital drive its private equity team forward.

A high level of attention to detail and the desire to develop professionally in a dynamic work environment is expected.

Your Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing investment summaries and presentations for the investment committee.
Conduct various analyses, including valuation, financial modelling, and comparable analysis.
Monitor fundamental economic, industry, and corporate developments relevant to KV Capital and its portfolio investments.
Provide continuous support to the private equity team for target entities under due diligence.
Support portfolio investment initiatives, quarterly governance deliverables, and other strategic initiatives.
Maintain and update proprietary targets lead databases and compile regular lead activity reports.
Maintain and update the intermediary database of deal flow metrics and compile regular activity reports.
Assist Directors with existing fund investments, including cash flow model development and regular reforecasting.

Participate in all team meetings and ensure Directors are supported with necessary research, analysis, or administrative requirements for both new and existing investments.

Gain insights into other KV Capital business units and collaborate on joint projects as required.
Your Capabilities and Credentials Bachelor's degree in commerce, mathematics, finance, accounting, or a related field.
Actively working towards or holding a CFA, CPA, or CBV certification is strongly preferred.
Experience in capital markets, investment banking, corporate development, advisory services, or broader financial services.
Strong interest in and understanding of private market transactions.
Proficiency in Pitchbook, DealCloud, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
An inquisitive personality with a strong drive for continuous learning.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate at all organizational levels.
Ability to assume a high level of responsibility.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of producing professional-quality materials and presenting recommendations effectively.
Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple priorities and competing demands with tight timelines.
