The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) is seeking trainees for the Supervisor Leadership Development Program in Labrador City, NL.

The Supervisor Trainee role offers a structured leadership development program, including on-the-job training, mentorship, and ongoing feedback. Successful candidates will undergo leadership and safety training.

Trainees will progressively transition to Supervisor roles through short replacements, special projects, and vacation coverage. The transition timeline depends on past experience and mentor feedback.

After completing the one-year program, you will lead a team, ensuring production, cost, and quality targets are met safely and efficiently. Work schedules vary by department, including night and weekend rotations.

Not offering fly-in-fly-out; relocation aid available for non-local candidates.

Leading on the front line is a crucial responsibility, requiring motivation, inspiration, and safety prioritization.

Your qualifications

  • Strong focus on safety
  • High school diploma and relevant technical qualifications
  • Technical expertise (Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering preferred)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Experience in mining or heavy industry
  • Leadership background preferred
