GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Skills for Change, a reputable non-profit charity, offers pioneering programs tailored to employment needs in response to immigration and workplace trends. We cater to diverse groups including newcomers, immigrants, refugees, women, youth, seniors, LGBTQ+ and Black Canadians, serving 20,000 clients annually throughout the GTA. Our focus is on providing thought leadership, impactful stories, and policy advocacy through evidence-based programs.

Join our team as a Manager, National Programs where you will lead efforts to cultivate and manage partnerships supporting organizational outcomes and enhancing program impact, particularly focusing on our Women in Skilled Trades program.

PROGRAM NATURE AND SCOPE:

At Skills for Change, we believe in strengthening our programs through collaborative partnerships. We are searching for a dedicated individual to establish systematic approaches to partner engagement, emphasizing our skilled immigrant talent pool, especially Women in the Skilled Trades. The ideal candidate will guide our transition from transactional to relational partnerships, aligning internal goals with new and existing partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Corporate and Community Partnerships

  • Develop a stakeholder engagement strategy
  • Strengthen partnerships across industries
  • Cultivate relationships on a national level
  • Monitor partner attitudes and enhance relationships
  • Convert leads into sustainable partnerships
  • Coordinate events and networking for partner engagement
  • Stay informed of market trends and skill demands
  • Facilitate partnership connections for programming
  • Enhance collaboration between programs and partners

People Management

  • Supervise, coach, and develop team members
  • Recruit, train, and manage performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years leadership experience in corporate or non-profit sector
  • Expertise in partnership development and community engagement
  • Vulnerable sector check required
