Duties:
Seeking a highly motivated individual with strong communications and organizational skills to help the Promotions Officers in promoting visitation to the Parks Canada sites in Mainland NS.
Duties will include assistance with the development of promotional communications for digital and traditional media, coordinate ongoing fulfilment of promotional literature across the province, assist and help coordinate promotion and delivery of on-site and off-site special events including mascot appearances and interacting with the public, providing general office support, assist with evaluation reporting and other duties as directed.
Work environment:
Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada's outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.
Intent of the process:
The Youth Employment Skills Strategy (YESS) aims to create temporary employment opportunities for youths from 15-30 years of age who are facing one or more barriers to employment.
Barriers may be any part of your past or present experience that makes it difficult to obtain or maintain meaningful employment.
Some of the positions advertised in this poster are funded by the YESS program, though we encourage any person who is interested to apply.

- Registered as a full time or parttime post secondary student in an accredited academic program or participating in adult education and retraining programs at the secondary level, operated under the authority of an accredited academic institution.
