Axis offers a wide variety of services for mining, industrial, and commercial clients. With a client

  • Fall protection engineering and design including system design & consulting, hazard assessment, personal equipment inspection
  • Mechanical engineering and design including material handling, ore and product storage bins, machine and equipment design, transfer chutes, discrete element modelling (DEM), lifting/rigging engineering
  • Structural engineering and design including platform design and connection design
  • Inspection services including fall protection inspection and asset integrity
Axis is currently seeking a part-time
Office Administrator.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of administrative experience including general organizational duties, bookkeeping, payroll, and invoicing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency and accuracy in work product, including high attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with an ability to prioritize and multitask
  • People oriented with an ability to establish relationships, credibility, and trust
  • Ability to maintain confidential information

Other Valuable Experience

  • Diploma in business and/or administrative courses
  • Bookkeeping experience including payroll and invoicing
  • QuickBooks experience and training
  • Small business experience

Responsibilities

  • Weekly timesheet entry, monthly expense claim payments, and project invoicing
  • Manage payroll
  • Manage accounts payable to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Manage accounts receivable and expediting client payment
  • Manage invoice preparation, review, and submittal
  • Manage all bookkeeping duties
  • Ordering and managing office and lunchroom supplies
  • Assist with company safety program including ISNetworld
  • Administrative support when requested including updates to internal documents including policies, procedures, and reference material
  • Occasional meeting organization including ordering meals
  • Other tasks as required to meet our client and operational requirements

  • Prioritizes customer relationships on the phone and inperson
  • Treats all information in a confidential manner
  • Communicate issues of importance or concern to immediate supervisor in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with others as required to complete projects and support team efforts
  • Effectively manage assigned work and projects as directed
  • Set priorities for own work and meets deadlines
  • Complies with all relevant legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures
