accountable for customer connection compliance to the Halifax Water systems, stormwater billing, drainage complaints, development and oversight of Capital Cost Contributions and Regional Development Charges
ensure team has the requisite blend of experience and ability to execute the full range of Halifax Water system investigations, review and enforcement
develop, maintain and assure adherence to Halifax Water Regulations, specifications, and policies
take an active role in key projects identified as high risk, identify issues to the executive leadership team and make recommendations for mitigative action
develop and maintain relationships with the Municipality, the Province, developers, consulting engineers and constructor communities and be the main point of contact for resolving issues between these parties.
a post-secondary degree in Civil Engineeringa minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible related experience in a municipal engineering field, including direct supervisory experience
a valid NS drivers' license
