A classroom enhanced funding educator plays a crucial role in making the programs interesting, interactive and inclusive, encouraging a sense of exploration for each and every child.

This should all be done in accordance with the vision, brand and culture of Childventures.

We are currently looking for an educator to fill a part time contract.


This contract is until September 1, 2023 and may be extended, upon approval, and could turn into a full-time role, depending on campus requirements.

Please note this is an entry level position, Monday to Friday, 5 hours per day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in the age appropriate environment rating scale annually
  • Interacts with Ministry staff and other regulators around licensing requirements for inspection purposes
  • Follows the Centre's Quality Assurance Cycle when using program evaluation tools
  • Provides positive social experiences
  • Facilitates and understanding of a variety of cultures and value systems
  • Provides a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment
  • Implement emergency procedures
  • Attending to the child's physical needs
  • Actively participates in required training sessions within Childventures curriculum and community sponsored professional development
  • Provide ageappropriate programs to enhance the children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
  • Prepare weekly program plans meeting all requirements of curriculum
  • Daily observations
  • Maintain child records

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in an Early Childhood Educator position is an asset
  • Early Childhood education including:
  • RECE Registered Early Childhood Educator
  • ECE Early Childhood Educator
  • CYW Child Youth Worker
  • CYC Child and Youth Care
  • ECA Early Childhood Assistant
  • EA Educational Assistant

MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 Step TB Skin Test
  • Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
