Vice President - Transfer Agency Manager

Role Summary:

The Vice President must ensure adherence to Internal Transfer Agency procedures in addition to both internal and Regulatory AML requirements at all times

Skills Required:

- _ Review controls and procedures across Fund Services on a periodic basis_
- _ Identify and Implement process improvements/system enhancements across the Transfer Agency Department._
- _ Monitor operational risk across the Business and assist with the enhancement of the existing operational risk framework_
- _ Operational risk scenario modelling and analysis_
- _ Assist in building out and training the current teams._
- _ Keep up to date on all Regulatory and internal Risk updates that impact the business ensuring the operations Teams have the necessary knowledge and system's in place to deal with the updates_
- _ Managing the oversight outsourcing for funds contracted from other jurisdictions Monitoring and enhancing the KRI metrics for the Department_
- _ Managing international client relationships _
- _Interacting with hedge fund principals and their investors _
- _Review, understand and have the ability to discuss fund governing documents with staff and clients _
- _Responsible for all aspects of operations and controls functions: Processing subscriptions, redemptions, transfers and switches. _
- _Ensure control framework and documented Transfer Agency procedures and policies in line with regulations both locally and globally _
- _Ensuring Apex Fund Services group policies are adhered to_
- _ Responding to investor and audit related enquiries_
- _ Ensure all regulatory reporting (onshore and offshore) is delivered within the required timeframes _
- _Providing periodic reports and feedback to senior management _
- _Participate in presentations for business opportunities from new and existing clients _
- _Be responsible for change management where required including Ad hoc project management (as required)_
- _ Assisting in the further development of new & existing global client relationships, optimizing service offerings, productivity and profitability_

Competencies:

- _
Five plus years of proven experience managing an Investor Services/Transfer Agency team for alternative funds at a top tier institutional fund administrator_
- _ Detailed knowledge of Transfer Agency systems, preferably_ Mantra,_ Paxus, _eFront_
- _ Flexibility_
- _ Up to date AML/KYC knowledge_
- _ Up to date FATCA knowledge_
- _ A very strong understanding of fund legal structures and the fund administration business_
- _ Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to drive change_
- _ Strong Risk & control focus _
- _Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects _
- _Strong planning, organizational skills and entrepreneurial skills _
- _Knowledge of accounting, finance and investment concepts _
- _Strong communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills _
- _Must be able to work with all levels within the organization _
- _Strong multi-tasking skills _
- _The ability to adapt to changing priorities and varied decision-making scenarios_
- _ An ability and desire to work to tight deadlines_
- _ Good interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues, clients, other divisions/ offices of the bank and professional intermediaries_
