As we continue to expand, we are looking for a
Medical
Laboratory Technician/Medical Assistant who has the passion to deliver the best possible care to our patients.


Summary:

The Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Assistant will assist physicians and allied health partners with conducting tests, processing specimen, and performing a variety of administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient flow and care process.


This is a permanent full-time position (3-5 days a week).

  • Aurora: 14872 Yonge St, Aurora ON, L4G 1N
  • Beeton: 34 Main Street West Ground Floor, Beeton, ON L0G 1A0

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing administrative support to the entire clinic, including but not limited to: registering patients, answering phone, booking appointments, following up on consults and test results and other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient collection, handling and processing of specimens in accordance to the clinic procedures
  • Provides assistance to doctors and allied health providers
  • Other laboratory and administrative duties related to clinic operations
  • Maintains and organizes laboratory/clinic equipment and supplies

Requirements:

  • Completed an accredited MLA/OSMT/CSMLS certification is required
  • Current enrolment in a recognized program for Medical Laboratory technology may also be considered
  • Administrative or customer service experience, including in a nonmedical field is considered an asset
  • Proficient in computer/knowledge of EMR is an asset
  • Ability to work at multiple locations is considered an asset
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team in a fastpaced environment
  • Effective interpersonal and problemsolving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
