If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Patient Transfer Attendant to join our team and provide safe and comfortable transportation for patients in need.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely and efficiently transfer patients between medical facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers.
  • Assist patients with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the transfer process.
  • Follow prescribed protocols and procedures to ensure proper patient handling, lifting, and transport techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the upkeep of transfer equipment and vehicles.
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and their families to address any concerns or special requirements during transfers.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs as necessary, reporting any changes or emergencies to the appropriate medical personnel.
  • Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards to ensure the privacy and dignity of patients.
  • Provide emotional support to patients during transfers, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal care.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Previous experience as a patient transfer attendant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in fastpaced environments.
  • Strong problemsolving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and transfer patients safely.
  • Empathy, compassion, and the ability to provide emotional support to patients.
  • Uptodate immunization records (MMR, DPT, Polio, HEP B, Varicella, Covid19, TB Step 1 skin test)
