The Project Assistant works closely with the entire Oliver & Bonacini portfolio of Restaurants, Events & Catering, and partner locations.

You'll work to assist in the planning and execution of new location openings & current operational initiatives; effectively collaborating with both internal and external partners to ensure success_**

The Day to Day:

  • Coordinate and schedule project meetings, create and distribute meeting agenda's
  • Take meeting minutes and distribute on behalf of the Project Manager
  • Coordinate and act as liaison for the projects team for site visits, installations and deliveries
  • Assist in organizing tender process for equipment, smallwares, FF&E and operational supplies
  • Issue PO's, follow up on tracking of orders and update schedule accordingly
  • Maintain uptodate tracking of expenses to project budgets including tracking change orders
  • Prepare and maintain list of contractors, sub contractors and trades as they relate to each project
  • Ensure all project documents are uploaded to the proper internal drives for easy access
  • Liaise with Operations & Marketing teams on restaurant opening activities, such as Friends & Family, branded items, uniforms, artwork & décor, training preparation(AV, supplies, etc)
  • General admin and organization
  • Onsite support as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 13 years supervisory or management experience in a restaurant or event operation or experience assisting in executions of Projects of similar size or complexity
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once in the absence of daytoday guidance
  • Ability to change priorities constantly as needed in a fastpaced environment
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular business hours
  • Valid driver's licence preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional telephone etiquette
  • Ability to demonstrate unwavering professionalism in a fastpaced environment
