Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Company: TST-CF Express

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Financial Analyst to bolster our FP&A department. As a vital member of our Finance Team at TST, you'll directly report to the Finance Director. Your role will involve bolstering forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis efforts, offering crucial insights to senior management on financial and operational performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts, highlighting differences from actual results, previous periods, and the budget
  • Engage with department heads to grasp key business catalysts and create financial models for revenue, expenses, and operating metrics predictions
  • Aid in formulating and assessing the annual financial and operational budget
  • Perform detailed variance analysis among budget, forecast, and actuals, alongside providing insightful commentary
  • Conduct financial and operational analysis and compile monthly business reporting (MBR) packages
  • Create PowerPoint presentations for senior management monthly meetings
  • Support month-end closing, including journal voucher preparation, financial statement review, and balance sheet analysis
  • Assist with balance sheet account scrutiny and bank account reconciliations
  • Enhance existing processes by recommending optimizations and executing process automation
  • Handle additional ad-hoc tasks as needed

Skills/Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA designation is an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, including:
    • Expertise in forecasting and budget development
    • Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling
    • Proven skill in summarizing complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problems solving capabilities
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of SQL, BI Publisher, Oracle Cloud
  • Experience in the transportation sector
