LandSolutions is looking to expand their talent pipeline in the Greater Toronto Area to service our clients by supporting the Talent Sourcing team in our Land and Property Advisory Solutions Division. This is a term contract for up to 2 years with a potential for extension.

Job summary:

The Senior Real Estate Coordinator will be responsible for acquiring, managing, and disposing of real estate assets to align with the company's strategic goals while ensuring accurate and timely closing of real estate transactions. This role involves negotiating contracts, managing administrative facilities, and reviewing market data to prepare detailed appraisals and real estate reports. The coordinator will establish clear negotiation strategies and fosters strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role demands expertise in real estate valuation, legal practices, and negotiation techniques. The coordinator must influence stakeholders, resolve transaction concerns, and develop mutually acceptable business alternatives. The position requires frequent travel, adaptability to various environments, and attention to detail in complex real estate transactions. Ultimately, the Senior Real Estate Coordinator plays a vital role in the company's successful real estate acquisition, management, and disposal activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and manage real estate rights from landowners, granting new or renewal rights to third parties and disposing of surplus properties.
  • Review and analyze market sales data and relevant information to prepare detailed appraisals and real estate reports.
  • Negotiate, approve, and execute contracts and documents for various real estate transactions within specified limits.
  • Establish clear negotiation options and strategies in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal and external representatives to resolve real estate transaction concerns and influence stakeholders for mutually acceptable alternatives.
  • Supervise staff, allocate assignments, and ensure work progress and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, providing valuable advice and guidance to clients and parties involved in real estate activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of extensive experience in a real estate environment, including valuation, legal practices, negotiation procedures, and managing real estate assets.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate, including industrial, commercial, residential, and rural properties, appraisal, property law, land use planning, negotiation techniques, business administration, economics, and marketing.
  • Strong understanding of English to effectively communicate with internal and external clients, make presentations, and prepare legal agreements.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing market sales data, land use plans, zoning bylaws, and other relevant information.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective transaction negotiation strategies and present proposals to external parties.
  • Demonstrated expertise in coordinating real estate transactions from proposal presentation to final documentation, ensuring compliance with financial and policy limits.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with a track record of meeting business goals, timetables, and delivery dates in real estate acquisition, management, and disposal activities.
