Our patient-care coordination teams help develop care plans for people of most ages, focused on maintaining each patient's independence and dignity. We also provide long-term care home placement services, and facilitate our patients' access to the community-based services they need.

Position Summary:

A strong collaborative working relationship with teams within HCCSS as well across Ontario Health is essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Delivers a highly available and stable messaging services environment
  • Participates in assigned projects following effective requirements, design, development and implementation processes.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Exchange Online Administrator roles, duties, and daily performance operations.
  • Take part in evaluating, planning, migrating, deploying, and managing Microsoft 365 services.
  • Administer and support an enterpriselevel Microsoft Exchange Online infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot Exchange related issues when alerted by monitoring software.
  • Administration of the design, installation, configuration, management and troubleshooting of the organization messaging environment for both the onpremises and cloudbased hosting technologies.
  • Planning, installing, configuring, supporting, and optimizing Exchange server systems (Cloud architecture) and Advanced Threat Protection (ATP).
  • Monitor, document and report on system utilization and capacity.
  • Monitor virus and spam filtering statistics and success rates using ATP.
  • Document processes and procedures.
  • Participate in a migration from exchange onpremises to a full Exchange Cloud Architecture.
  • Monitor backups and perform periodic test restores.
  • Develops and monitors security procedures to safeguard messaging systems from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data.
  • Creates, administers and monitors current and future standards, practices, policies, and procedures for enterprise messaging implementations.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to provide optimal system performance for the agency.
  • Designs and conducts messaging server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the organization disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. Integrates messaging servers, including backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.
  • Creates, administers and facilitates documentation as it relates to messaging system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Perform Microsoft 365 tenant management tasks for an enterprise, including its identities, security, compliance, and supporting technologies.
  • Analyze proposed solution architectures, technology, design and assist in IT development processes and recommend options that enhance services with solutions and business processes.
  • Identify, analyze, and recommend options for risk management at appropriate levels within the enterprise and the health care sector.
  • Work with IT, our Security team to establish appropriate security processes, controls and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Take a leading role in various HCCSS cloud initiatives providing exchange online expertise, facilitating collaboration and furthering objectives.
  • Stay abreast of any changes to industry best practices or legislative regulations and assess the resulting impact to the organizations.
  • Experience in leading endtoend planning, architecture, solution development, and execution of program activities.
  • Support the ongoing development & maintenance of HCCSS Governance, Risk and Compliance processes to continuously monitor risk remediation, treatments, as well as exceptions.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Must possess a Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert Certification and at least 3 years' experience as a Microsoft Exchange Administrator.
  • Fundamental and proven experience in scripting languages (PowerShell).
  • Experience managing complex architectures.
  • Experience in scheduled maintenance and deployment/release activities.
  • ITIL certification V3 / V4 Foundation is required, with direct and demonstrated knowledge of a defined ITIL practice or process.
  • Solid understanding of policies, cross organizational roles, risk management, and governance.

Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Single Sign On, Multi Factor Authentication.
  • Microsoft 365 Platform management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of tools and techniques for managing changes, incidents, and problems.
  • Strong knowledge of service management, control, and architecture frameworks such as ITIL is required.
