General Material Labourer

Core Functions
Maintain shop inventory
Assist field crews with orders, equipment, materials, etc.
Inventory and or equipment monitoring, tracking and issuing materials, supplies and gear
Accurately record and document all equipment returns and store returned equipment
Process material packing slips, verify quantities and receipt of materials & follow up
Some tasks may require travel to outdoor job site locations (CSA-approved footwear required)
General housekeeping of shop, sweeping, organizing

  • Oversee and monitor waste disposal and recycling program
Coordinate fleet vehicle maintenance

Core Functions - Shipping / Receiving
Perform loading and off-loading functions of trucks/trailers
Responsible for accurate inventory and reporting all discrepancies
Arrange for freight to/from shop and or job sites as required
Ensure job orders are carefully reviewed, sorted and gathered for job use
Pick-ups and deliveries as required
Other duties as assigned

Requirements include:

Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Reliable Transportation to the workplace
Exceptional analytical, planning, problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work to deadlines
Ability to work in different environmental conditions (indoors/ outdoors, hot/ cold)
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Reliable, with a positive attitude
Motivated to learn and grow in the telecommunications industry

Additional assets include:

  • General construction knowledge
  • Valid forklift license
  • Overhead crane operators license
  • Experience with civil construction
  • Experience in the wireless telecommunications industry
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • AZ License

Salary:
$18.00-$24.00 per hour
