Position Description

ECHO Ontario Mental Health at CAMH and U of T (ECHO-ONMH) is a virtual training and capacity building model that supports healthcare providers in delivering high quality, evidence-based mental health and addictions care in their local communities.

ECHO-ONMH currently supports numerous ECHO hubs, with continued expansion throughout Ontario.

We are currently seeking a full-time, temporary (until November 30, 2023) Manager, ECHO-ONMH at CAMH to support this expanding service.


Reporting to the Acting Director, Northern Outreach & Virtual Care and ECHO, the Manager of ECHO-ONMH at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health will provide oversight to the ECHO-ONMH program, which includes several existing diverse ECHO-ONMH virtual communities of practice, as well as newly funded communities of practice.

You will be responsible for ongoing development and implementation of programs and processes in alignment with the ECHO Institute, the Ministry of Health, CAMH policies and procedures, and contractual obligations.

You will support ongoing maintenance and quality improvement within existing programming, and manage/support the successful launch of new programs.

Through membership in the ECHO Ontario Superhub, you will support collaboration, alignment, and strategic planning across all ECHOs in Ontario, and support new Ontario-based ECHOs through training and mentorship.

Further, you will liaise with various internal and external stakeholders as required and will support strategic opportunities in this rapidly expanding field.

Additionally, you may be required to present about ECHO and related initiatives to stakeholders, learners, and at conferences.


You will support ECHO-ONMH technically though the coordination and execution of ECHO-ONMH, including, but not limited to the planning, implementation and evaluation of various ECHOs, including developing and managing contracts, submitting invoices, and monitoring quality assurance, developing activity, financial reports and budgets, and providing advanced analysis and synthesis of data to proactively support change management activities.

You will be expected to skillfully manage planning and facilitation of meetings/committees, needs/gap analysis, delivery of strategy and project plan into actionable items, tracking and documentation of potential project risks and issues, and provide training to project stakeholders and staff.

You will be required to support budget planning, reporting and monitoring, and participate in project planning work. You will also support the evaluation of the service and support knowledge translation and dissemination initiatives.


As the Manager, you will be responsible for scheduling and overseeing staff and managing human resources, including performance management and recruitment.

You will also be responsible for the identification and development of educational requirements for staff and providing direct supervision to members of the team.

You may also be called upon to participate in and represent Management in negotiations with Bargaining Agents.

This full-time, temporary (until November 30, 2023) position is NOT part of any bargaining unit.
