About Us
The Indigenous Primary Health Care Council (IPHCC) is an indigenous-governed, culture-based and Indigenous-informed organization.

Its key mandate is to support the advancement and evolution of Indigenous primary health care services provision and planning throughout Ontario.

Membership includes Aboriginal Health Access Centres (AHAC), Aboriginal governed Community Health Centres (ACHC), other Indigenous governed providers and partnering Indigenous health researchers and scholars.

Overview

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Advocacy, Government Relations, Data, and Communications Teams
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to align and advance objectives
  • Liaise with members and communities as needed to advance project objectives
  • Proactively develop project workplans, together with the department Director, and ensure project milestones and deliverables are being met
  • Ensure documentation is maintained throughout the project using shared workspace
  • Communicate plans, actions, risks, and issues with key stakeholders
  • Manage and build relationships with multiple teams in accordance with project plans
  • Carry out administrative functions and processes, including scheduling, creating agendas and PowerPoint presentations to prepare for meetings
  • Analyze project data and produce progress reports
  • Supports culturally appropriate outreach, focus groups, community engagement, and knowledge sharing
  • Prepare briefing notes for Senior Leadership

Requirements:

  • Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously, including providing administrative support (such as scheduling and preparing for meetings) and tracking progress and following up on deliverables and milestones on important initiatives.
  • Proven ability and experience using PM methodologies an asset (Project Management designation preferred and encouraged)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare briefing notes, synthesize materials, and prepare PowerPoints and meeting materials
  • Excellent community engagement and relationship skills both within Indigenous communities and nonIndigenous environments
  • Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to efficiently plan, organize, and manage complex projects simultaneously with limited supervision or direction
  • Superior critical thinking, analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, team building and communication skills
  • Ability to build consensus and foster change
  • Outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion

Compensation
Salary is commensurate with qualifications, and experience and is set within the IPHCC's established salary grid and policy guidelines.
