Part-time Equipment Safety Trainer

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and lead equipment operator safety training programs
  • Train customers in safe and proper methods of forklift and compact equipment operations
  • All other duties as assigned, such as supporting sales and administration duties for the training department.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' of equipment operating experience on various types of equipment (material handling, compact construction, aerial, etc.).
  • Strong oral (publicspeaking) and written communication skills
  • Strong listening skills
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Willing to travel to jobsites to deliver safety training and evaluate equipment operators' performance
  • Team player with selfconfidence and professional appearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BCDL with clean abstract
  • Training certifications on equipment operations
  • WHMIS and TDG
  • Logistics, warehousing or construction industry experience
  • Experience in administering and leading training programs (Operator Safety Training and Train the trainer certifications can be provided for the right applicant)

Compensation package:

- $25-$27 per hour base pay depending on the experience and qualifications.
