Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Control System Specialist on a permanent basis at our Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC).

This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK_._

What you'll do:

  • Maintain operational safety for refinery processes by ensuring multiple vendor control system platforms are accurate, reliable and secure.
  • Provide technical direction in developing new initiatives, which result in innovation and change on the overall control system architecture, operation and maintenance.
  • Develop and support automation best practices, standards and guidelines.
  • You will provide technical expertise and support to Operations, Major Projects, Plant and Maintenance engineering for control system planning and troubleshooting with practical and economical solutions.
  • Provide guidance, training and professional expertise to other team members.

You will work closely with other control system specialists. This team strives to cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration and fun.

The Collaborators:

You will work closely with other functions in our Technical Services business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as Major Projects, Plant Engineering and Maintenance Engineering.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Engineering & Engineering Technology and:

  • Have a post secondary Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Have 5+ years' experience in an industrial facility with control system engineering, and/or associated subsystems.
  • Familiar with Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers and Safety Instrumented Systems.
