Hitachi Energy is currently seeking an experienced Technical Sales Leader to drive growth through business development and sales strategy for our aftersales transformer components market.
As a key member of our Canada Service team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, leading sales campaigns, and driving revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, penetrate, and expand Service across Canada with a focus primarily on Spare part and transformer components
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and revenue in the aftersales transformer components market
- Preparing customer & regional market sales plans with the support of marketing and other stakeholder.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, competitive analysis, and customer engagement
- Lead sales campaigns and support the sales team in closing deals
- Establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships through excellent service and your knowledge of customer needs. Align the service portfolio to support our customers short
- Gather and maintain market analysis on Hitachi Energy & competitor position in the local market; leveraging this information to help support decision making.

- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including engineering, marketing, and operations, to ensure successful product launches and sales support
- Maintain a target level of forecast accuracy (Using Salesforce)
- Stay current on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities
- Meet or exceed sales targets and other performance metrics
- Support on Field and Repair business development occasionally
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or proven outside sales experience
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or a related field, with a focus on the aftersales transformer components market on bushings, tapchanger and monitoring devices
- Knowledge or understanding of Electrical Substation, Transmission, Distribution, Generation and the local market, an asset.
- Strong understanding of transformer components and the aftersales /retrofit market
- Ability to influence and challenge business stakeholders (Internal and external) to drive business growth.
- Demonstrate the ability to present and sell new technology solutions as a means of differentiating value. Bringing digital information solutions to the electrical market
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel across Canada as needed (> 40% of the time)
