Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Shipper/Receiver will ensure shipments are received and sent out in an accurate and efficient manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES_
- Loading/unloading machinery, and palletized materials
- Perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment.
- Sorting incoming parts, supplies and materials, placing them where designated
- Identifying and placing raw materials where designated
- Product labelling identification, moving to storage, and preparing kits for assembly
- Ensure inventory items are up to date and inventory levels are accurately tracked
- Ensure products received are placed in proper project area
- Checking shipments received against bills of lading, customs documents, packing slips invoices, purchase orders and/or any other related documents to ensure that any discrepancies or damages are identified, recorded, and brought to the appropriate departments' attention
- Preservation and packaging of materials including making skids utilizing hand tools; saws, nail guns, hammers, staplers etc.
- Maintain shipping and receiving area by ensuring a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Packing, sealing and labeling materials to prepare for shipping
- Preparing shipping documentation
- Ship materials ensuring they meet the required timelines for delivery
- Understand and follow all health and safety procedures including safe operation of equipment.
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in a shipping/receiving
- Valid class G driver's license
- Forklift truck license
- Ability to comply with safety protocols, operating procedures, work instructions, organizational policies, and guidelines
- ERP experience an asset
- Mechanically incline. Familiar with mechanical/electrical component terminology and recognition.
Salary:
$15.50-$26.00 per hour
